Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – Limerick

Location: Raheen, Limerick
Position: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join our dedicated healthcare team in Limerick, with a particular focus on acute and transitional care. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate nursing professional to take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients transitioning from acute hospital settings to step-down or longer-term care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical and professional leadership to nursing and care staff
  • Ensure the highest standards of care are delivered, particularly for residents with acute, post-acute, and transitional care needs
  • Support timely and safe transitions from hospital to care setting, promoting recovery and independence
  • Oversee comprehensive assessment, care planning, and evaluation for residents with complex clinical needs
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including acute hospital services
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and all regulatory requirements
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice
  • Support and develop staff through mentoring, supervision, and training

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse with active registration with NMBI
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ post-registration experience, with demonstrated experience in acute care, step-down, or transitional care settings
  • At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in managing complex and changing patient needs
  • Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and experience in regulated care environments
  • Postgraduate qualification in management, gerontology, or acute care (desirable)
