Position: CAMHS Consultant Location: Ireland

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

Provide clinical leadership and expertise in CAMHS, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning

Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists

Develop and implement innovative approaches to meet the complex needs of children, adolescents, and their families

Collaborate with community partners, schools, and other stakeholders to provide holistic care and support

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and training programs

Provide consultation and guidance to colleagues and healthcare professionals on CAMHS issues

Qualifications:

Medical degree and Psychiatry specialization from a recognized institution

Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) as a CAMHS Consultant or eligibility for registration

Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Proven leadership and clinical expertise in CAMHS settings

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Commitment to delivering family-centered, culturally sensitive care

What’s on offer :

There is a generous renumeration package on offer for the successful candidate to include : Salary ranging from €217,325 - €261,051 commensurate with experience, with additional payment for overtime hours and on-call allowance

Continuing Professional Development or medical education up to payment of €12,000

Annual funding up to €8,000 for research projects

30 days annual leave, and paid maternity and paternity leave

Relocation package value of €4,710 (cover flights, accommodation, IMC registration, relocation costs).
