An established engineering and manufacturing company operating across Ireland and the UK is seeking an experienced CAD Technician / Structural Detailer to join its expanding design team.
The organisation specialises in agricultural, structural, and industrial building projects, including steel fabrication and timber frame structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing general arrangement drawings and detailed layouts for structural and civil projects
- Preparing fabrication and production drawings
- Developing material schedules, project costings, and bills of quantities
- Liaising with designers, consultants, clients, and production teams
- Managing drawing packages for production, delivery, and installation
- Assisting with tender documentation and project coordination
- Working to project deadlines within a busy design environment
- Supporting continuous improvement in design and manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks
- Experience in structural detailing, manufacturing, or construction environments
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience advantageous but not essential
