This is a key role within a small, dynamic organisation at an exciting stage of growth. The company is expanding into new markets in the UK and Ireland and is bringing on additional sales staff, creating a need for a highly organised professional to manage core business operations.

The role will combine hands-on administration with mid-level operational responsibilities, particularly in logistics, procurement, and order processing. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and taking ownership of essential business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day administrative functions including:

    • Purchase Orders

    • Invoicing

    • Order processing (approx. 10–12 orders per week)

  • Coordinating logistics for the delivery and receipt of goods, including full container loads

  • Managing supplier relationships and sourcing competitive pricing

  • Supporting procurement activities for chemicals and related equipment

  • Liaising with logistics providers, freight partners, and external service companies

  • Supporting sales operations with administration and coordination tasks

  • Acting as the central point of contact for operational queries

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient processing of customer and supplier transactions

  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting general office organisation

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Confidence managing order processing and supplier communications

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of key processes

  • Excellent communication and multitasking abilities

While industry experience is not essential, candidates with exposure to manufacturing or operations environments will be at an advantage.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar coordination or operations support role

  • Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting systems

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Experience in a small to medium-sized business environment

  • Background in Executive Assistant, office management, or business support roles

Role Overview

This position suits someone with a good level of professional experience who enjoys being at the centre of business operations. It is not a junior admin role – the successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership approach to logistics and order management.

The company is keen to find the right long-term fit and is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, provided they have the organisational ability and practical experience to manage this varied role.

Package Details
