Business Development Manager - Nationally (Cork Base)
Our client specialises in sourcing high-quality salt products internationally, serving Food Manufacturing, Water Purification, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Road Maintenance, and Chemical Manufacturing - Seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive sales and expand the market presence, based out of Cork.
Role Overview:
This stand-alone role is ideal for a strategic, commercially minded professional with a proven track record selling salt or related products. You will identify new market opportunities, grow existing partnerships, and expand into key sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Salt Category.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple sectors, including pharmaceutical and chemical applications.
- Lead sales strategies, pricing, and contract negotiations.
- Manage and grow relationships across Food Manufacturing, Water Purification, Pharmaceuticals, Road Maintenance, and Chemical Manufacturing.
- Source and negotiate with international suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to build the company’s profile.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in business development or sales, ideally selling salt or related products in Food Manufacturing, Water Purification, Pharmaceuticals, Road Maintenance, or Chemical Manufacturing.
- Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to grow business.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
- Degree in Business or related field; ERP or data analysis experience is a plus.
