Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting & Advisory Services

About the Role:
My client is seeking recently qualified accountants (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with 3–5 years’ experience in either aviation/aircraft leasing or wealth and asset management. Candidates may come from industry or practice. This role involves supporting clients with technical accounting, regulatory reporting, and finance transformation projects across financial services organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical accounting and regulatory support to clients, including GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards.

  • Lead and deliver engagements involving complex transactions, large-scale financial and accounting change, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Support clients with regulatory compliance, internal controls, and reporting enhancements.

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and acting as the key contact for senior client stakeholders.

  • Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, and other service providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Use technology and analytical tools to streamline reporting, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery.

  • Maintain awareness of industry and regulatory changes, proactively identifying solutions for clients.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (desired).

  • 3–5 years’ experience in audit, aviation/aircraft leasing, asset-backed securitization, or wealth and asset management.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting standards.

  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and develop junior team members.
