Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
FRS Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) on behalf of a well-established, high-quality nursing home in Waterford. This is a senior clinical leadership role, working closely with the Director of Nursing and wider management team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and support the day-to-day running of the nursing home
- Oversee care delivery, documentation, and clinical standards across the service
- Support and mentor nursing and care staff, promoting a strong team-based culture
- Lead on clinical governance, audits, and risk management
- Contribute to staff rostering, performance management, and ongoing development
- Act as a key point of contact for residents and families, ensuring a high standard of communication and care
- Deputise for the Director of Nursing as required
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register
- Previous experience in a senior nursing or management role
- Strong background in clinical governance and elderly care
- Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
