About the Role

A global financial services organisation is seeking a Production Support Specialist with a strong interest in Regulatory Reporting Technology to join a growing technology team.

The successful candidate will support critical reporting systems, work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, and contribute to the stability and improvement of key data and reporting platforms. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in financial regulatory reporting systems while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Director of Risk & Regulatory Reporting Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 production support and ensure automated batch processes meet agreed SLAs.
  • Respond to production requests and queries in a timely manner while communicating effectively with business users and stakeholders.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Monitor daily batch jobs (TWS) and escalate delays or failures to upstream system teams where necessary.
  • Analyse logs, execute SQL queries, and debug issues at a granular level.
  • Collaborate with users and L3 technical teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Document support activities and provide updates during daily scrum or team stand-ups.
  • Support and maintain systems including Axiom Controller View, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks jobs.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Power BI reports, DAX, and PowerQuery.
  • Support code migrations and validate reporting outputs in UAT and production environments.
  • Participate in regression testing for regulatory reporting releases.
  • Follow incident management processes and ensure timely resolution and closure of tickets.
  • Work with globally distributed teams and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as TWS.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux commands and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with AXIOM Controller View, SQL scripting, and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with IBM ETL DataStage, Denodo, Oracle SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio, and JIRA.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
