Technical Sales Advisor – Animal Nutrition

FRS Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading animal nutrition company to recruit a Technical Sales Advisor to cover the County Antrim region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established and highly respected business that works closely with dairy and beef farmers to improve animal performance, fertility, and farm profitability through precise, science‑led nutrition solutions.

Our client is a market leader in animal nutrition, recognised for its accurate feed analysis, highly fortified products, and results‑driven approach. The business is committed to helping livestock producers get the most value from every kilogram of feed and every animal on farm.
🚜 The Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will manage and grow relationships with dairy and beef farmers across County Antrim.
You will inherit a well‑developed customer base, built up over the past 3–4 years, with a strong focus on account management alongside new business development. Using detailed feeding and herbage analyses, you’ll provide tailored nutritional advice to improve herd health, fertility, and overall performance.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales support to dairy and beef farmers
- Maintain and develop an existing, well‑established customer base
- Identify opportunities to grow and expand business within the region
- Advise farmers on balanced diets based on herbage and silage analysis
- Balance diets for pre‑calver, post‑calver, and beef systems
- Promote and support the use of forage enhancers, silage additives, enzymes, yeast, and minerals
- Work closely with farmers to help produce high‑quality forage
- Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs
- Attend national agricultural shows and industry events throughout the year
👤 Candidate Profile
- Previous on‑farm or agri‑sales experience is an advantage
- 3rd‑level qualification in Agriculture or Green Cert highly desirable (not essential)
- Strong practical knowledge of dairy and beef farming systems
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Full, clean driving licence and own transport(expenses covered)
