FRS Recruitment is now inviting applications for the role of ‘Agri Sales Rep’ on behalf of a leading agribusiness in the Wexford region. Indeed, our client is proud to be serving the Agri community in Wexford for the last 100 years. This is a newly created role as part of our clients strategic growth plan which will see you extend their service direct on farm , offering exceptional service and nurturing already established long term relationships.

Contract: Full time Perm

For this role, you will come with a strong Agri/Farming background and an excellent understanding of farming inputs such as Feeds, Fertilizer and Animal Care. Previous experience selling direct on farm or dealing with farmers in a commercial setting would be an advantage.

The Role

  • Capitalize on our clients strong reputation by growing your customer base and gaining new clients direct on farm in the Wexford region.
  • Provide advice and guidance to our clients farmers in the Wexford area
  • Maintain your newly established accounts and ensure ongoing business delivery & growth opportunities are realised
  • Achieve all revenue & client retention targets
  • Convert prospects into clients with long-term growth potential
  • Liaise regularly with direct manager and office staff
  • Manage all customer requests in a timely & accurate manner
  • Meet sales targets and develop a plan to maintain and exceed these targets

The Person

  • Third level education (but not essential), preferably in Agriculture
  • Previous field sales experience on farm or strong Agri background combined with commercial experience will be considered
  • Valid driving license
  • Strong communication skills and a people person
  • IT skills for logging information and reporting results
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Competitive basic salary DOE
