Commercial Agronomist – North East Region of Ireland
FRS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Agribusiness based in Ireland’s North East region as we seek to appoint a Commercial Agronomist to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role and may suit candidates located in Kildare, Meath, Louth or Cavan.
As a key member of the commercial team, the successful candidate will deliver expert agronomy support to a strong customer base while driving new business opportunities across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain, manage and grow an existing portfolio of farmer clients

Deliver high-quality technical support and advice to customers

Develop tailored crop husbandry plans and spray programmes

Build strong relationships with chemical and input suppliers; stay current on product developments

Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities
-
Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and budgets

Work closely with Senior Management on strategy, innovation and new business ideas
Experience & Skills
-
Agricultural Science degree (Ag.Sc) or higher – essential
-
IASIS qualification – essential
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar agronomy or agri-commercial role

Strong technical knowledge of cereal cropping and grassland management
-
Proven self-starter with strong commercial drive

Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team

Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills

Professional, customer-focused attitude

Strong commercial awareness alongside technical expertise

Full clean driver’s licence
