General Manager (ADON)
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and performance of the organisation within its strategic framework. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant care services while managing staff, client relationships, governance oversight, and financial performance. A key aspect of the role is maintaining a strong balance between operational management and collaboration with, and reporting to, the Managing Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure effective service delivery
- Support and manage the existing management team across compliance, rostering, and clinical functions
- Maintain high standards of client care and satisfaction
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and reporting processes
- Monitor KPIs and drive operational efficiency
- Develop and implement business growth strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community partners
- Report to the Managing Directors with initiatives and frameworks to improve efficiency and performance
Staff Management
- Lead, motivate, and support management, care, and office staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective scheduling
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to HIQA and HSE standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and care records
- Prepare for audits and inspections
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid NMBI Pin
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in homecare
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Knowledge of homecare regulations and standards
- Relevant qualification in business or management (preferred)
