Our client is seeking a reliable, organised, and detail-focused Accounts Payable Assistant to join their growing finance team.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the accurate processing of invoices, updating supplier information, reconciling statements, and managing credit processes. You will also play a key part in ensuring a seamless transition to the new ERP system by ensuring all invoices are captured and processed without disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices through the scanner for upload to the ERP system and ensure correct mapping.
- Reconcile supplier statements to the supplier ledger and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier records: set up new accounts, update existing details, and close inactive suppliers.
- Perform corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve price and quantity variances in collaboration with buyers.
- Raise and track credit requests with vendors for discrepancies and returns.
- Manage vendor queries relating to invoicing, discrepancies, and returns.
- Maintain organised filing of all vendor documentation.
- Provide support with ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.
- Maintain a log of all invoices on hold due to vendor-related issues.
Qualifications
- Leaving Certificate (or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a similar Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
