FRS are partnering with a growing and ambitious company to recruit an experienced Accountant & Office Manager to join their team. Due to expansion into new markets, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position offers 30 hours per week initially, with the potential for additional hours as the business continues to grow.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the management and wider teams through the effective management of finance, customs, administration, and office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
  • Accurately post journal entries and maintain accounting records
  • Prepare and submit VAT and RCT returns
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations
  • Produce monthly management accounts for senior management
  • Manage credit control activities
  • Process payments and receipts via online banking platforms
  • Liaise with multi-currency suppliers and vendors
  • Administer weekly payroll
  • Assist with HR administration as required
  • Maintain and organise digital filing systems
  • Prepare shipping labels & courier documentation
  • Support general office administration and ad hoc duties

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a similar Accounts role
  • Experience preparing management accounts
  • Knowledge of Revenue Online Service (ROS) filings
  • Experience dealing with external auditors
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards
  • Logistics, customs, import/export, or shipping administration experience
  • Experience working with multi-currency transactions
