An established company based in Galway(Lough Atalia Rd) is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on an initial 12-month contract, with a view to being made permanent.
Working as part of a strong and supportive finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day accounting duties, including:
- Processing and posting supplier invoices to the accounting system
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
- Processing and allocating customer payments to the correct accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly creditor and debtor reconciliations
- Assisting with VAT payments and ensuring accurate financial records
- Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts administration
This is a busy, fast-paced role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a high level of accuracy. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent standards.
