We are working with a well-established organisation in Tipperary seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a permanent full time job who will have responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records. This role ensures that day-to-day financial transactions are recorded correctly, accounts are kept up to date, and financial data is organised to support reporting and decision-making. It’s a varied, hands-on position requiring good experience across payroll, accounts, and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll, manage queries, and post to the General Ledger
- Raise and manage sales invoices, ensuring timely payment and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Process supplier invoices and manage payments accurately
- Prepare bank reconciliations and support cashflow management and forecasting
- Complete VAT returns in line with deadlines
- Coordinate shipment documentation and liaise with freight providers
- Maintain financial records, reporting data, and general administrative support
- Assist with purchasing and operational reporting
About You:
- Relevant accounting qualification with experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, reliable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
