Our client based in Roscrea is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to manage the day-to-day accounts function. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will have the following duties:
- Processing weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
- Handling company banking activities, including lodgements and payments
- Preparing and submitting VAT and Revenue returns in compliance with Irish regulations
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring proper documentation
- Liaising with external accountants and third-party accountancy practice
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes as required
- Supporting general administrative and finance duties as needed
Requirements
- Proven previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or bookkeeping role (essential)
- Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, and Revenue reporting requirements in Ireland
- Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
