Our client based close to Ballinasloe area of Galway are looking to recruit an Accountant to join their team. Working closely with the Financial Controller you will support the finance function with month end processes, preparation of management accounts and cash flow analysis. This is an initial 15 month contract position and can be worked over 4 or 5 days. This role is based on site and doesn’t offer any work from home option.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Assist with P&L analysis and reporting to management
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure accurate financial records in line with company policies
- Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting
- Support process improvements within the finance function
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of month-end and management accounting processes
- Experience with cash flow analysis desirable

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
