FRS Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading Irish Agribusiness based in the North Leinster region and are now inviting applications for the role of 'Yard Foreman (Agri)'. Indeed, this is a full time permanent role.
Our client, provides top-class service to the farming community in Ireland. To note, they have been in business for over 30 years and are a leading agricultural merchant and supplier of agricultural services.
The Role: Yard Foreman (Agri)
Location: Meath (May also suit candidates within a commutable distance Bordering the counties of Louth/Cavan/Westmeath)
Contract: Permanent, full time,
Hours of Work: Standard 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri. This will increase during the Harvest Season and there is a requirement to work overtime (and added days) during the July - September period
Rates of Pay: Competitive DOE
Ideal Candidate
You will come with a strong interest or background in Farming (Ideally with Grain/Tillage processes). Experience driving machinery such as a Loading Shovel or Forklift would be an advantage. You will also demonstrate , good administration skills for processing paperwork and strong communication experience to deal with all parties involved.
The Role
- Weighbridge operations
- Operating a Loading Shovel when loading Grain
- Dealing with Third Party Hauliers and Customer Drivers in a professional manner
- Utilising a Forklift on the yard for manoeuvring stock and equipment
- Oversee the Yard Operations, full responsibility for the smooth running of the site
- Processing paper work, admin, using a software known as Herbst
- Drying Grain, previous experience operating a Grain Dryer would also be an advantage however training can be provided
- Responsible for Health and Safety and General Upkeep and maintenance of the site
- Any other adhoc duties
