Ward Clerk - Clonmel

Job Overview

I'm currently recruiting for a Ward Clerk to join a busy team in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

The purpose of this role is to provide clerical support to the assigned ward area


  • Ensure patient records are maintained in a timely, accurate and comprehensive manner and that they are available promptly as required
  • Ensure all records are tracked, inputted, maintained and updated at all times
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Collect post and distribute to relevant departments
  • Answering telephones and deal with queries that may arise
  • Typing, photocopying, office filing and folder management
  • Document and arrange transport for patients
  • Record patient admissions and discharges daily and ensure all data entered previously is accurate


  • Previous clerical experience is essential
  • Strong customer service experience is required
  • Previous health care experience an advantage
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Practice a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Immediately available
