My client is a market leading multi-national integrated manufacturer of automotive electronic systems for some of the world's largest car manufacturers. A multi-site operation the company have been in Cork for over 20 years and currently employ over 700 people across their Irish plants.

YOUR NEW JOB

As Test Technician some of your key duties will include

  • To maintain, troubleshoot and improve both ICT and functional test equipment and processes.

  • Test hardware maintenance and optimisation.

  • Failure rate elimination.

  • Manufacturing process improvements initiatives based on test failure data.

  • Full production support to meet productivity and efficiency.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You will hold a Cert/Diploma in Engineering (Minimum NFQ Level 6) in Electronic/Electrical and have prior experience in Electronic Manufacturing in a test environment. You'll also have prior knowledge/experience in test equipment, PC's and basic programming language - ICT.

There is a salary ranging from €32k-€50k doe along with pension, bonus and life assurance & 25% shift allowance. If you were interested in working abroad down the line my client has lots of sister facilities across Europe available for secondment if you'd like to work and do some travelling at the same time.

SHIFT PATTERN

With regards to the shift the system works to 39 hours per week rotating from Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday to Thursday/Friday/Saturday every 4 week period.

Example : Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday - nights for 2 weeks and then days for 2 weeks. Thursday/Friday/Saturday - nights for 2 weeks and then days for 2 weeks.

The shift pattern allows for one week off approximately every 2 months as part of the changeover from Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday to Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
