Supply Chain Manager- North Dublin

Job Overview

My client, a Leading FMCG Manufacturer based in North Dublin, is in need of a Supply Chain Manager to join their busy site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join a leading organization who is going through a period of rapid growth and expand their career.

The duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and provide leadership to the Despatch /Warehouse Coordinators.
  • Manage the capacity allocations across the warehouses to ensure maximum efficiency is maintained in both the manufacturing and warehouse functions and that external warehousing is minimized and all associated costs managed.
  • Responsible for the planning of the production for one of the manufacturing facilities and provide cover for the planning function in our second manufacturing facility.
  • Deputise for the Customer Care & Logistics Manager during holiday and training requirements.
  • Liaise with Sales and NPD team on new product/customer introduction.
  • Inventory reporting and interface, managing excess Inventory, stock taking and reconciliation.
  • Develop procedures for all relevant processes and ensure adherence.
  • Regular status / communication reporting
  • Ensure all KPI's are met and are accurate.
  • Propose and investigate cost saving initiatives and Tendering.
  • Ensure that the Warehouse Capacity and planning update reports are circulated daily.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for Warehouse Team and monitor performance.
  • Ensure appraisals are carried out on time, and in an effective way.
  • Participate in projects / teams as required.

The requirements for the desired Supply Chain Manager include but are not limited to:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain functions.
  • Previous Supply Chain Management in an FMCG environment desired but not essential
  • Possess good planning and organizational skills coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and make sound business decisions.
  • An organised and consistent approach to work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of business operating systems.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage change.
  • Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills
