My client, a Global Manufacturing organization is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join its Cork team.

The Supply Chain Analyst is a key supply chain role providing analytical support, problem solves system issues, master data and identifies areas of improvement.

A key function of this role is producing data-based reports and information, efficient planning of tasks and organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have excellent understanding of Supply Chain planning signals - inventory, procurement, demand, in transits, stock transfers
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Management team to issue forecasts to factories in a timely manner, taking into account lead times on various raw materials.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Management in chasing for delays in raw materials and working on solutions to resolve
  • Maintain accurate master and transactional data in relative systems.
  • Manage and maintain stock profiles in line with typical customer usages and the company's standard lead times. Update stock profiles on a regular basis created on customer forecasts and usages.
  • Ensure ERP Parameters and indicators are effectively set/ managed, through collaboration with key customers.
  • Be able to understand business impact with technical issues and hence assign appropriate level of urgency to issue
  • Be able to drive the resolution of issues and ensure root cause is well documented
  • Be able to drive weekly/monthly metrics to assess the volume of issues and drive improvement plans for repeat issues
  • Prepare reports on a weekly basis for Senior Management and present stocking profiles and stocking forecasts in order for the Group Financial Controller to model cashflows
  • Ensure adequate capacity for stock holding at stock locations and ensuring that appropriate contracts are in place with Senior Management
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed in a timely manner and managing the company's own warehouse and 3rd party logistics providers to ensure stock levels are complete / accurate
  • Liaising with other departments such as Sales and Warehousing
  • Other business requirements as required by management

The requirements for the desired Supply Chain Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Analyst role
  • MRP systems experience required- Oracle is desired but not essential
  • Data mining / reporting skills
  • Previous inventory forecasting experience
  • Previous experience with Excel or other data visualization tools
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross functionally as part of a team
  • Hard working and reliable
