Stock Controller
Job Overview
FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of 'Stock Controller' on behalf of our Client, who is a leading hardware & agricultural wholesaler near Cork City. A knowledge of hardware, DIY or an Agri Background is a distinct advantage. This is a full time permanent role where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a progressive employer that has won numerous awards for its achievements to date.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that physical stocks agree with stocks as per the ERP system. The Controller will also have responsibility for ensuring that systems and procedures for storing and handling goods are operating to the highest standards. The Client will provide on the job training and development and up-skilling opportunities are available within the organisation.
Role:
* Daily Cycle Counts
* Run variance report and investigate all discrepancies
* Ensure all materials are properly labelled and correctly stored
* Report to Manager on high value items with variances
* Identify aged and slow-moving stock items
* Update and maintenance of computer-based stock management system
* Review of goods inwards and outwards procedures to identify improvements and implement appropriate changes
* Dealing with colleagues, customers and hauliers in a proactive and engaging way, and with a helpful and pleasant manner
* Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
* Reporting Issues or Concerns to Management
* General Administration
* Other Tasks as assigned by the Manager from time to time
Requirements:
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively
* Interpersonal and customer-facing skills
* Experience in data entry desirable
* IT literacy with an ability to learn new systems
* Communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Attention to detail and quality focussed
* Enjoy warehouse-based team environment
* Proactive problem-solving mindset
