Are you a Professionally Qualified Social Worker with previous experience working in the area of Adult Safeguarding and Protection?

FRS Healthcare are delighted to be assisting a Very Well established HSE Community team, that cover the Dublin South, Kildare & West Wicklow region.

Location of work place can be Dublin or Kildare

The Principal Social Worker requires the Professionally Qualified Social Worker to start work Immediately.

This a 1 year fixed term contract position, a fulltime role working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm across a 37 hours per week.

Summary: The team provides a service to individuals and organisations in accordance with "Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy and Procedures" 2014 Social Care Division. This includes oversight of safeguarding work within HSE organisations and organisations funded by the HSE Social Care Division. Direct Social Work service to older people and people with disabilities who may be at risk of abuse. Delivery of National Safeguarding Training. Provision of advice regarding the protection of adults who may be at risk of abuse.

The structure of the team includes four team leaders, three professionally qualified social workers, one administrator and a Principal Social Worker.

The main caseload will be supporting the duty social work role to receive and review concerns regarding the abuse of vulnerable adults in the community. Supporting and advising service providers in Older persons and Disability services in implementing the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse policy.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following profile:

  • A recognised qualification as a Social Worker
  • Registration with CORU essential
  • Proven experience working with and supporting vulnerable adults in the community
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, initiative, teamwork and time management skills
  • A full drivers' licence with access to a car
  • Available to start work as soon as possible
