Social Care Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead the operational management and development of day services for adults with intellectual, physical, and sensory disabilities and ASD. The Social Care Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and growth of day resource and outreach services and managing the Programme Supervisors.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting people with disabilities and their families in a socially inclusive and community-based manner, guided by our core values, national standards, and quality best practices.

Location: Tullamore, Co Offaly

Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per week

Essential Criteria:

  • A third-level qualification in health and social care, with a focus on management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in management or supervision in the health or social care field.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, delivering client-focused services, leading, and motivating a team, and excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, logistical, and management skills.
  • Experience in budget management, IT proficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Line manage and plan the development, implementation, and management of personalized development, health, education, recreation, and occupational programs within the Resource Centre.
  • Promote the mainstream inclusion of service users into the community, reflecting New Directions.
  • Plan and develop new service proposals, such as home support, respite care, and innovative initiatives/activities, in consultation with service users and senior management.
