Service Product Manager

Job Overview

Our client currently requires a Service Product Manager to join the team, based in Co: Meath

As part of the role you will provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the organisation and make strategic product decisions.

You will analyse market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands.

The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the activities of the Sales and Marketing/Product Development Departments.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers and internal contacts.
  • Prepare 'Budget' and detailed 'Firm' proposals.
  • Determine service cost (material and labor).
  • Conduct contract review with Sales.
  • Prepare project turnover package when an field work/order is completed.
  • Provide design, project engineering and operations management on service projects from order receipt through to completion.
  • Prepare and maintain service project schedules including the management of customer expectations.
  • Assist in setting service priorities and schedules.
  • Provide leadership to field service technicians in project execution.
  • Prepare and submit Customer Field Service Reports
  • Provide assessment of services department staff
  • Manage Cost Reduction and service Improvements
  • Complete monthly internal financial forecasts and reports.
  • Execute other tasks as assigned
  • Ability to travel when required

Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:

  • Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline
  • 5 years in equipment service or customer service
  • Experience with leadership in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and coach a team
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
