Are you a Scientist with 3-5 years' GMP lab-based experience?
A brand-new role has been created for a Senior R&D Scientist in Cork. Candidates with previous GMP, food and chemistry related backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Duties:
- Provide technical expertise and analytical support for the development of encapsulated vaccines and other medical preparations for oral administration.
- Provide technical leadership to resolve process and analytical technical challenges anticipated during the development, validation/qualification and transfer of encapsulated vaccines and associated analytical method development
- Develop/Expand scientific, technical knowledge by reading the peer reviewed scientific literature, attending scientific conferences and via relevant training.
- Ensure the delivery of development projects in the required timeframe according to the agreed project plan.
- In collaboration with the R&D Director, manage interactions with collaborators and provide regular updates.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years (minimum 3 years) GMP experience with a Degree qualification in a Science discipline.
- Good team player, organized, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
- Passionate about R&D.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing and chemical development environment and an understanding of the drug development process.
