Senior Medical Scientist - Histology

My client is a busy HSE Hospital engaging in a vast amount of clinical areas. They are keen on providing a high standard of care ensuring patients receive the best possible quality of care. In joining such a hospital, you will be required to not just uphold excellent practices, but also aid the improvement of patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-operate with other laboratory departments
- Manage and supervise basic grade, support staff and trainees within the department as well as ensure competence of staff to carry out procedures
- Ensuring a positive healthy work environment for all staff
- Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role and comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards
- Maintain an up-to-date personal training / retraining record in accordance with laboratory policy
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be CORU Registered
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Be familiar with legal standards in place
- Must hold a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Science or Similar
