Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Are you a Qualified Accountant who is active in process improvements and a strong person when explaining why and where improvements can be made but also play well as part of a team. This expanding company based in Dublin City Centre could be your next employer with this full-time permanent position.

If you have worked as part of a consultancy and dealt with hourly charges for work rather than selling a product - this is an advantage!

A strong emphasis on managing a workflow of source documentation through an accounting system, the maintenance of up-to-date & accurate accounting ledgers, the management of creditor payment runs, the management of trade debtors and actively progress collections,
Monthly Management Accounts reporting with comparatives to plan, variance analysis etc.
Input to professional, effective and robust financial planning of the business through creating and managing financial models (eg. Cashflow, budgets etc.)
Strong emphasis on managing and executing a work process in other areas including liaising with Storm business managers & EI Grant applications and claims. Further emphasis on seeking ways to improve efficiency.

Completed professional ACCA or CIMA exams, or CPA is also acceptable.
Professional Services/Software industry an advantage
Good verbal & written communication skills will be important, the ideal candidate will apply strong business ethics and seek constantly to do things in the most professional way with a clear audit trail.
Accounting system operated is Microsoft NAV, experience of this or similar would be beneficial. Strong excel skills are also important.
Mergers and acquisitions
Having exposure to M&A would be beneficial
