YOUR NEW JOB:


In the Quality Manager job your remit will see you responsible for managing site Food Safety & Quality in compliance with all Legal and customer requirements.

Some of the main elements of your new Quality Manager job will include

  • Manage Food Safety and Quality for the site in compliance with HACCP, legal and customer retailer standards.

  • Manage the site BRC standard and Retailer standards and develop an audit ready approach for compliance to all relevant procedures and standards.

  • Ensure all packed product complies with all legal and customer specifications and that all process & production controls are monitored and in compliance with the standards.

  • Manage non- conformances and complaint investigations to ensure a rigorous approach to root cause analysis and that corrective & preventative actions are put in place in a timely manner.

  • Monitor Site Hygiene with a strong continuous improvement approach with on-going coaching and training of staff to ensure best practice is in place throughout the site.

  • Management of the Laboratory testing schedule and ensure all results are signed off and appropriate actions are taken for non- compliances in compliance with procedures.

  • Complete KPI reporting on agreed metrics and manage the on-going retailer requirements for KPI reporting on retailer platforms as required.

  • Support troubleshooting for the plant to develop a continuous improvement approach and a strong team ethos to problem solving.

  • Develop strong working relationships with the Operations team to support and drive a strong Food Safety & Quality culture.



WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


You will have 4+ years in a similar type of Quality Manager job and strongly believe in promoting a culture of excellence on-site and within your team.
You will hold a relevant qualification in Food Science or equivalent and some of the key areas that my client will want you to have a proven track record will include:

  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP and risk assessment methodology.
  • Experienced in maintaining and implementing BRC and retailer standards in the Food Industry and ideally in an FMCG environment.
  • Experience in High risk environment preferred
  • Rigorous approach to Food Safety & Quality compliance.
  • High motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on own initiative.
