One of Irelands leading meat processing companies in the Kildare region are currently recruiting for a QC Specialist for a day's Mon-Fri job. This vacancy has come about due to an internal promotion and the my client have been in operation for over 40 years and have continued to expand during that time despite recessions, pandemics etc.
The company have built very strong relationships with their agricultural partners and the company understand that decent animal welfare is what their customers, staff and suppliers want and work closely with all their livestock carriers to ensure they are operating to the highest animal welfare standards.
The company employs over 200 staff across 2 facilities and export to customers across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. It's a very environmentally conscious organisation whose sustainability plan is at the heart of the company's programme of continually focusing on reducing environmental impacts and to help preserve our natural resources.

YOUR NEW QC SPECIALIST JOB


Reporting to the Technical Manager AS QC Specialist you will work as a part of three person team that also includes an Internal Auditor and the Technical Manager.
Your remit will be to ensure that the factory maintains its high level of quality and food safety through a process of data collection and monitoring, and you will help to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
As part of the QC Specialist job, you will also support environmental operations and help in the companies drive for sustainable food production.
In addition you will maintain the on-site HACCP programme and be highly involved in monthly, quarterly and annual environmental submissions


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


This role would really suit a recent food science graduate who might have completed their internship/college placement with a meat processing company and might have some knowledge of BRC, Bord Bia and HACCP etc.
You will need to be self-motivated, able to investigate, question and follow through on issues and once you are settled into the role you'll need to have the ability to manage your own workload.
Previous experience in the meat industry would be advantageous but not essential as full training and support will be available when you start in the QC Specialist job.
