My client are a medium sized well established food ingredients company based in the South East. Working with some of the largest retails customers in the UK their business continues to go from strength to strength and this QA role has come about due to an internal promotion on the Technical team.
YOUR NEW QA SPECIALIST JOB
Reporting to the Technical Manager as QA specialist your job will involve having responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring of the production process. You will be part of a small quality team of 4 where you will need to be proactive in the pursuit of continuous quality and process improvement.
Day to day some of the key elements in this career advancing QA job will include:
* Implementation and maintenance of BRC, HACCP and GMP systems
* Monitoring and reporting of quality standards cleaning & engineering requirements
* Implement, monitor and review corrective actions
* Monitoring of the production process in line with factory HACCP & SOPs
* Raw materials inspection & Supplier monitoring
* Traceability compliance
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
This role will suit a recent graduate or applicants with 1-2 years relevant post grad experience in the food production sector.
You will hold a relevant third level qualification in Food Science or similar and some prior experience in a QA role in the food sector either as a co-op/intern or since graduation would be very beneficial.
You'll need to enjoy working with small teams, have strong communication skills, be flexible and have excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills.
The successful individual will have good communication & skills, work well as part of a team, be confident, innovative and flexible, have excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills, attention to detail and awareness of quality standards. A good knowledge of the food industry and experience is desirable.
WHAT THIS ROLE CAN OFFER YOU
My client is offering a salary of €30k-€35k and are bringing in a pension scheme in 2023. This is a shift role (days 6am-2pm & evenings 2pm-10pm alternating weekly) and there is loads of scope to grow your career in the QA dept or alternately in the production, NPD etc depending on where you would like to see your career go long term.
