Purchasing Co-Ordinator

Job Overview

I'm working with a lovely company in Bandon who are looking for a person to join their team in an expanding company. This company has extremely low turnover with staff there as long as 30 years. This is a role where you won't be micromanaged and you will be able to make this role your own by bringing your knowledge and experience.

I require an experienced
Buyer to join our team. The position is immediate, full time and based at our Plant in Bandon Co. Cork.

The ideal candidate will be confident with a
flexible approach to work and willingness to learn as this is an interesting and varied role where the candidate will also assist in Quality / Health & Safety(experience is desirable in this area but not necessary) .

Duties and Responsibilities:

To achieve the most competitive rates in all areas of purchasing
Request, compare and evaluate quotes from suppliers
Raise and issue
PO's for procuring materials
Source and order suitable materials as per client requirements

Assist with the Quality department when required
Assist with Health & Safety

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing role
Have the ability to multitask, prioritise, meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
3rd Level Qualification in logistics/supply chain/purchasing preferred
Excellent IT skills are a must for this position, specifically Excel
Excellent communication skills
Be highly motivated and have the ability to
work on own initiative
A working Knowledge of Quality systems with Health & Safety would be an Advantage
Salary is negotiable.
