I am delighted to be assisting this multi-national company in Cork to find a Project Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. I visited this company recently and it really is a great place to work.

This company know how to look after their staff and have recently opened a brand new state of the art centre of excellence with further investment planed for the Cork facility over the next 18 months. They employ over 300 people in Cork and work with a very impressive portfolio of companies both in Ireland and globally covering med device, pharma, food & beverage industries.

THE ROLE:

As Project Engineer you will hold a key position in the organisation working with the client to make sure that the project is meeting its milestones and objectives while also dealing with the inevitable unexpected curveballs that are part of every project process.
You will be a strong character able to deal with contractors while also having that diplomatic flair necessary for keeping the client happy. Your primary focus will be to make sure that the project is progressing as per the program objectives of delivering on time and within budget.

Day to day your key responsibilities will include:

* Coordinate, control and deliver projects in the medical devices, food and beverage, biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical sectors among others.
* Research and solve technical problems while providing engineering guidance to project teams.
* Developing project schedules and monitor budgets for projects.
* Coordinate multi-disciplinary onsite installation and commissioning teams across a range of sectors and reporting regularly on progress both to the client and management.


THE FIT:

To be successful in this role you will need 3+ years' experience in the biopharmaceutical/ pharmaceutical sector.

You will have a strong aptitude in mechanical and chemical processes and equipment and you will hold a relevant engineering degree in Engineering, Science or related.
