My client work supplies a large proportion of the major retail multiples as well as servicing a range of very large clients in the catering sector and they have become the market leader in their sphere by focusing on the quality of their products and also on the satisfaction of both their customers and their employees.
Working in a large high-volume plant (over 400 people employed) and reporting to the head of Operations as Production Manager your job is to improve production efficiency, achieve key objectives and reduce costs in a fast paced food environment while ensuring H & S and Quality standards are being adhered to at all times.
Some of the key elements of this exciting production manager role include
- To work with key business stakeholders, and develop multidisciplinary LEAN champions while implementing a continuous improvement mindset,
- Establish, manage and deliver KPI's
- Training, upskilling of all employees ensuring a multi-skilled workforce is achieved.
- Identify and implement efficiencies across production areas
- Assist and manage the delivery of key projects.
- Ensure new employees are fully inducted to the business & identify and monitor training needs within the department
- Train and develop your team

rd level degree and hold a relevant Lean/CI qualification
Stock mgt experience and a background in FMCG is vital to hit the ground running in the Production Manager job
You will be strong in NAV, TMS or similar IT/ERP systems and be an advanced excel user.
