FRS Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Agribusiness in Ireland and inviting applications for the role of 'Product Manager'. Indeed, this is a full time permanent role - covering the 6 counties of Northern Ireland and the Boarder counties.

The client

Our client is an international market leader, has been in operation for over 60 years and employs over 8,000 people across the world. Indeed, they are at the forefront of Research & Development in their respective industry and thus the role of 'Product Manager' is integral in communicating their innovations; both internally and externally.

The Product

Our client sources, produces and sells the complete range of conventional commodity fertilizers as well as the most comprehensive range of speciality fertilizer and soil conditioning products. Their successful growth is based both on the quality of their product range and superior technical advice on-farm.

The Role

The role involves Joint responsibility for key Product Development strategy, technical support and activity for our client within the Product Management and Technical Support Team and will be focused on the Speciality Business and Product range with the following responsibilities:

  • Technical Development of Product Range and Product Positioning in the Market place
  • Development and Communication of our clients brands at company and product levels
  • Developing and Leading Marketing Campaigns
  • Technical Training and Support of Field Sales and Telesales Team

The Candidate

  • A Recognised agricultural qualification (Master's or PHD) with post-qualification experience in an agricultural sale and/or marketing role is essential.
  • Track record of high performance and target achievement in previous role(s).
  • High level of technical ability across a wide range of agricultural enterprises, production and farming systems.
  • A high level of understanding and competency in the use of modern IT resources, including website, social media and other communication tools.
  • A high level of understanding of tillage and crop production systems.
  • Fully self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills plus the ability to seek solutions to overcome business challenges and to recognise and harness opportunities.
  • Strong people management and communications skills, including the ability to positively influence colleagues to achieve results.
  • A positive mental attitude to business challenges and a 'can-do' approach.

  • A strong commercial focus and ability and motivation to succeed in the marketplace with high value products.
