Process Engineer
Job Overview
Our client, based in East Cork, requires a Process Engineer.
You will be joining a multi national company that is growing and expanding, where your input and suggestions will be taken seriously and implemented. You will be reporting in to the Operations Manager, and supported by a large engineering team. You will work closely with the production team.
The purpose of this role is to Identify continuous improvement activities and leading or participating in cross-functional teams to implement such activities . Supporting activities in the areas of cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence.
Your duties will include:
* Providing technical support to operations to drive optimisation of production processes and equipment
* Technical support to Production Team regarding Problem Solving and Troubleshooting of Plants.
* Supplier & Customer focus - establishing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and customers.
* Continuous Improvement Projects, cost reduction, process optimisation, and efficiency improvement for better utilisation of raw material and reduced non-premium product
* Utilising Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to ensure process stability, reduce process variation and provide visibility into plant and process performance
* Implementation & support of new products/processes validation.
* Deliver projects within budget, schedule & specification while adhering to site safety rules and quality requirements
* Participation in special projects as required
Do you have 3 years experience as a process CI engineer?
Do you have a 3rd level qualification? (Process, Chemical or mechanical)
Are you a data driven lean expert?
