I am delighted to be assisting my client, a leading manufacturing company based in Co. Clare in recruiting a Process Engineer to join their team.

Within this position you will be responsible for implementing suitable product and process changes in line with customer requirements. You will possess a high level of initiative, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and have project management experience.

Scope:

  • The successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, ability to handle multiple responsibilities, and have project management experience to ensure successful completion of projects assigned by the Quality and Technical Manager.

  • Projects will be designed to assist the plant in achieving the business goals and objectives as they relate to productivity, quality, and service.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and pro-actively in a dynamic Team environment essential with a flexible and confident problem solving ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to all Environmental, Health & Safety site procedures.

  • Implement suitable product and process changes satisfy Customer Specific Requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain SOP's to comply with traceability requirements of ISO Standards as well as the specific requirements of Pharmaceutical, Food, Automotive & Aerospace industries.

  • Provide technical support on processing and process capabilities to Customer Service, Sales and Quality Assurance.

  • Perform Root-Cause Analysis with process and test data to implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Respond to manufacturing problems in a timely manner to maintain and support production.

  • Support and coordinate the implementation of capital investment programs.

  • Maintain SOP's to comply with traceability requirements of ISO Standards as well as Pharmaceutical, Food & Automotive industries.

  • Provide technical support on processing and process capabilities to Customer Service, Sales and Quality Assurance.

  • Other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar role
  • A degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Industrial Chemistry.
  • High level of PC skills (MS Package, Minitab, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, able to make independent decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with IATF core tools is an advantage.
  • Understanding of lean six sigma and ability to contribute and manage portions of a world class manufacturing (WCM) program & Manufacturing 4.0 is desirable.
