Plumbing Stores Assistant - N Cork City (near Blackpool)
Job Overview
Do you know your right angle elbows from your ballcocks and your non-return valves then THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU! My client is seeking a warehouse operative with a knowledge of plumbing parts or even someone with 0 experience in warehousing but has a great knowledge of plumbing parts!
The primary objective of the successful candidate is to work within the warehouse loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring picking and packing of orders is done correctly as well as dealing with the public face to face at the trade counter.
To be eligible to apply for this job you should have:
- Previous Warehouse experience preferable but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of pipe, fittings and valves or similar plumbing type supplies
- Valid forklift licence (preferred) or someone with experience using forklift but needing a refresher will be acceptable as well - must have either of the above to apply.
- A good positive attitude and someone who is able to as part of a team and work in a fast paced environment
Your responsibilities in the job will include but are not limited to:
- Picking, packing and shipping customer orders
- Some light assembly/fabrication work to fulfil customer's requirements, training given.
- Receiving supplier deliveries and using the ERP system when required
- Trade Counter management
This position is offering a very generous salary of between €35-€40k PA (DOE) and the hours are Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5PM (NO WEEKENDS AND NO NIGHTS!!)
