Type of job: Full time, permanent, days only, on call duty (rotation)
Job description:
As an PIC / Unit Manager you will ensure high quality care is provided to all residents in a residential and respite unit, throughout effective management of the unit, manage and support clinical staff in training requirement. My client is a respected community service provider, caring for adults and children with Autism and Intellectual disabilities.
Currently two positions are available, one in Galway city and the other in County Galway.
Your Profile:
- A 3rd level qualification in Psychiatric Nursing and a current registration with NMBI
- Third level Management qualifications desirable
- You will have a min of 6 years post qualifications experience
- You will have a min of 3 years experience in the area of psychiatric or intellectual disability nursing
- You will be of good character and have strong communications and reporting skills
- You will possess the required knowledge to implement and monitor agreed programs and the staff for whom they have assigned responsibility. A high standard of suitability is necessary to effectively discharge the duties of the post.
- Own vehicle and a full driving licence as some travel to other units might be required on occassion.
