FRS Recruitment have an amazing job opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading biotechnology company in the Mid-West. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and production of cutting-edge biopharmaceutical products as this company enter an exciting phase of their journey . In this position you will manage the successful operation of the bioprocessing manufacturing team . The Operations Manager will be the value stream leader for bioprocess ,manufacturing operations in collaboration with all value stream departments and ensure the requirements of cGMP manufacturing are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of bioprocessing operations, to ensure efficient and timely production.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead a team of scientists within the value stream.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of activities.
- Lead a team of bioprocessing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to maximize individual and team performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyse operational metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions, as necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, technology implementation, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience of a cGMP manufacturing team preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations and quality systems and understanding of process development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
