Mill Operator
Job Overview
FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of Animal Feed Mill Operator on behalf of our client, a leading Agri business based in North Tipperary.
Experience in similar mill operator role is an advantage however full training will be provided to candidates with the right attitude and an interest in the agriculture industry.
This role will be suitable to those in the North Tipperary, Offaly and Laois region with an attractive salary and overtime available.
The Role:
- To support the production requirements of the mill by working as part of a highly committed & efficient team
- Operate plant, monitor plant performance, in-process product testing and optimise efficiencies
- Pellet & coarse ration production
- Liase with weighbridge team ordering in raw materials and co-ordinating loads going out
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding area
- Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
- Following production schedules/deadlines as directed mill manager/supervisor and feed nutritionist
- Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards
- Any other duties as reasonably required
- Setting and operating Milling Machines
The Candidate:
- Shift Work Required
- Good verbal reasoning, numerate ability and mechanical aptitude skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of computers
- Fork Lift Licence or loader ticket an advantage but not necessary
