Having grown their team to over 50 people since 2019 they now have ambitious plans for the delivery of additional equipment and new products that will see it onboard in the region of 50 to 70 additional employees over the next three to four years.
The company manufactures paper products using cutting edge technology and have a policy to try and obtain raw materials from local sources due to their strong environmental ethos which has also seen them invest heavily in renewable energy on-site. YOUR NEW ROLE
My client are looking for an experienced Machine/Mechanical Technician to join their Technical Department where you will be working with complex prototype machinery within a small dynamic team. This role will offer great opportunities to develop your mechanical learning while also progressing your career.
Day to day some of your key duties will include:
* Troubleshoot, diagnostics and repair of production equipment
* Perform root causes analysis of problems and suggest process improvements
* Maintain systems for spare parts stock and ensure system is being correctly utilised
* Deliver continuous improvement activities by developing equipment setup practices and troubleshooting guides for operators and/or skilled craft, Improving documented maintenance practices and records
* Ensure that all breakdowns are documented and recorded in the system
* Carry out Preventative Maintenance work
* Responsible as part of a bigger team for ensuring that all production & maintenance KPI's are achieved
* Flexible working hours to meet production or maintenance deadlines; make yourself available for overtime as and when required
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
You will be working in a very clean work environment working with brand new cutting edge plant & equipment in an organisation who provide an informal and fun work environment with an open door policy from the mgt team.
This role pays between €40k-€45k with a 10% shift premium available for the night shift as well as a 10% monthly bonus on top of your salary which is calculated on machine & production performance

Day shift running from :
Evening Shifts running from:
Night Shifts running from
9.4 5pm-6am-10% premium
As the company continues to grow in production capacity, this will naturally bring opportunities for people to step up into new roles and bring exciting career opportunities over time.
The role will also involve some travel to suppliers in Luxemburg to get trained up on new machinery when needs be.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Ideally you will of 3 years' + experience in mechanical maintenance and problem solving and have some previous electronic & pneumatic troubleshooting expertise.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be driven to ensure production efficiency is maximised
To excel in the job you will be a natural problem solver always striving to return production to full capacity promptly after an issue is identified.
You will enjoy working independently or within teams on continuous improvement initiatives and the installation of new parts/equipment.
This role requires excellent communication skills to ensure effective knowledge transfer between shifts and other teams
Finally, you will need to sometime be flexible to take on overtime when needs be to meet production or maintenance deadlines and as this job involves shift work you need to be flexible to working different shift patterns
