Are you degree qualified in an engineering related discipline and have 1-2 years experience. Our client is looking for a manufacturing support engineer. This is an exciting time to join this solid operation that has grown over the past number of years. You will be developed and supported and this role will certainly put your career on track.

You will be responsible for providing a full range of engineering, technical and quality support functions. The role will combine aspects of production engineering, Quality Engineering and co-ordination of H&S with an estimated 80% engineering and 20% quality related split.

Production Engineering Support
Provide on site Production Engineering technical support across production areas as well as operation of the carbide testing lab ( Full training in this will be provided) . You will help in driving improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, production flow, product handling, cost reductions, etc. As well as day to day support on any manufacturing related technical or quality issues. Specifically to be expert on new and existing Laser & Ping tester equipment, support with layout improvements, lean flow projects, etc. The role will also have involvement in working as part of team to review energy consumption and work towards the Group goal of Sustainability and carbon footprint reduction. Occasional travel to supplier, customers and other manufacturing sites may be required.

Quality :
Responsible for providing a quality control function for the business. The Manufacturing Support Engineer will be responsible for providing inspection of incoming raw materials, site calibration activities, development and support of in process inspection processes. You will also participate in the Non Conformance process both internally and with external suppliers /sub-contractors.



Is this role for you?
The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification in a related discipline, preferably mechanical, process or manufacturing engineering Or have a strong engineering background.
Min 1-2 years of experience working in an engineering related manufacturing environment with demonstrable bandwidth to operate across R&D, production and quality related disciplines in a high volume, high pace production environment
A recognised qualification in occupational H&S is also desirable but NOT essential as this could be a developmental area for the right person.
