Our client, one of the world's leading medical device companies, is actively recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Cork in a 12 month contract position.
As Manufacturing Engineer you will act as an advocate for continuous improvement activities and take the lead in troubleshooting on equipment while providing coaching and mentoring to other engineering staff.
You will also have a prime role with respect to equipment and process safety ensuring standards are met or exceeded at all times.
On a day to day basis you will provide technical support for manufacturing while also developing and improving planned maintenance regimes and training the maintenance engineering team.
You will also have the opportunity to liaise with and develop strong relationships with equipment suppliers, service providers & professional bodies & consultancies.
With regards to project work you will have the chance to get involved in supporting improvement projects on manufacturing equipment as well as supporting the introduction of change support new product and process introduction.
Engineering Degree with 3+ years experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment
To be successful in this role you will need to be well versed in the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and a background in process transfer and/or large project roles in a regulated environment will be highly advantageous for this job.
