My client an iconic Irish renewable's & utility service provider (encompassing electricity, heating, resource recovery, water, growing media and related service) are on a journey of transformation, innovation, sustainability and growth.


Currently recruiting for a Maintenance/Production Manager for one of their Midlands recycling plant

There has been significant and on-going multi-million euro investment into the site over the past 2 years and it would be considered my clients flagship plant and key to their circular ecomomy strategy. In the Production/Maintenance Manager job you will be managing a team of about 40 staff including production supervisors, GO's, forklift drivers and maintenance techs etc.


SOME OF THE KEY ELEMENTS OF THIS EXCITING PRODUCTION/MAINTENANCE MANAGER INCLUDE:

*Identify and implement best practice to maximise waste processing and production, minimise commodity losses to waste output, and ensure commodity output reaches required quality levels. In conjunction with direct reports, ensure that work rota's for processing and operatives are scheduled to ensure that logistics, operational and annual leave needs are met.


*Ensure that the site and yard (incl. skip repair and refurbishment work, as well as maintenance personnel) operate in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible, by actively managing day-to-day operations. This includes staff numbers, agency staff, overtime, processes and material handling, production versus targets, fuel usage and trends, 5S implementation, and all other relevant processes and activities.


*Make sure there is sufficient quantities and quality of waste feedstock, so that incoming loads are suitable for processing, with senders informed straight away regarding contamination issues and pricing to be amended. Ensure that waste materials handling, separation and delivery to appropriate outlets are conducted an efficient and compliant manner (including pre-sorting by loading machine operators).


*Ensure that all revenue and cost control measures relevant to the yard and plant are fully adhered to, including weighbridge traffic, and ensuring waste received matches how it was categorised, access to the site, diesel access and usage, etc.


*Ensure all personnel are fully trained for their role and that all work completed is in accordance with Health and safety guidelines and practices.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:


To hit the ground running in the maintenance/production manager job you will come from a maintenance/fitter background and moved into a production role or you will come from a production background originally and moved into a maintenance supervisor position. My client are very open to candidates from different production sectors and with different levels of experiecne as long as you have the right attitude coming into the production/maintenance manager job.
