Our client, a well-established food production company based in Tipperary are currently recruiting for a number of maintenance technicians where your remit will see you being responsible for the, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment and modification of all plant and production equipment, as well as the fabrication of new and replacement equipment.
You will also be involved in trouble shooting and continuous improvement initiatives

As Maintenance Technician some of the key elements of this exciting job

  • Provide ongoing day to day support to Production.
  • Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on packaging, production and utilities equipment.
  • Carry out calibration of equipment as required
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives,
  • Making full utilisation of all current and new IT/processing systems e.g., PEMAC & CSB
  • Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on packaging, production and utilities equipment.
  • Proactively follow up on re-occurring technical issues.
  • Provides general Maintenance support for Process equipment; Fire Alarm systems; HVAC equipment; Refrigeration, Water; Packaging Equipment and General Facilities equipment.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed for traceability purposes
  • Liaise with auditors and visitors as required during customer audits


You will have a good knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical Systems associated with high volume manufacturing equipment and hold a Third Level Qualification in one of those disciplines or the National Craft Certificate together with relevant experience in production/manufacturing
You'll possess good technical ability, be self-motivated and enjoy continually learning and exploring more efficient methods of work.
