Currently recruiting for a Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter (Days) for their site in the Northwest.
YOUR NEW JOB
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as Shift Maintenance Fitter you job will see you responsible for maintaining a wide range of mechanical process equipment and optimizing plant performance.
Other key duties will include:
- Highly involved in the monitoring of plant services and maintaining equipment and process records according to plant systems.
- Deliver with the other maintenance team members a reliability centred maintenance function with best practices including preventative maintenance.
- Work within the maintenance team to ensure a proactive approach to maintenance
- Maintain accurate maintenance data and close out assigned work using the CMMS
- Timely and effective trouble shooting of day-to-day equipment and system issues
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
You will hold a relevant Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent with 3 years + post qualification experience in a high-volume process manufacturing environment
You will have experience working with electric and pneumatic control and demonstrate strong all-round/general problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
You will enjoy working as part of a closely knit team, get on well with people from different parts of the organisation and have excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Experience working on heat pumps, boilers, packing/bagging lines, industrial electrical installations and instrumentation would all be hugely beneficial in the shift fitter role as would the ability to reading pneumatic drawings
You will have decent IT skills and previous experience of CMMS would be highly desirable but not essential
