Our Client, a leading multinational Distributor/Wholesaler based in North Dublin, is in need of a logistics team lead to assist busy logistics Department on site, due to increased demand.

This is an excellent company to work for and have very low turnover of staff. Positions do not come up very often with this company and they are offering a very competitive salary for the right person.

Role Profile:

Logistics Team lead

To help manage the day to day functions required within the Logistics Department as well manage a team of 3PL in order to provide the necessary services to customers and suppliers while ensuring that best practice are maintained at all times.

The desired Logistics Team lead will be responsible for the following:

  • contractual / service / performance ownership of 3PL transport / own fleet
  • leading a team (inc. drivers)
  • Help develop cost savings, efficiency's and service performance
  • comfortable with data and analysis, and using data to drive the right decisions and continuous improvement
  • transport best practice / compliance
  • Transport health & safety
  • Transport compliance regulation
  • Continuous improvement initiatives
  • People development

The Key attributes required for the role:

  • experience managing warehouse and or transport systems / tools
  • experience with a centralised transport planning team
  • ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • 2-3+years in a similar position
  • Previous experience using a business ERP system(s) and or associated systems
  • Microsoft Office Package
